Visa & Travel Permit

» Free Tourist Visa:

Indonesia now provides a 30-day non-extendable Free Tourist Visa to Citizen of 45 Countries (effective 11 June, 2015).

» Visa on Arrival:

The Indonesian Government extends Visa on Arrival (VoA) to nationals of 61 countries which can be obtained at designated entry airports and sea ports. Visa-on-Arrival are valid for 30 days and are extendable with another 30 days to be applied at Immigration offices in Indonesia. Visas cost around US$35. Your passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of entry into Indonesia. Check the website of the Indonesian embassy of your country of origin to see the latest visa updates regarding your nationality.

Please note: Make sure you have your onward or return ticket printed out. This is compulsory and can be asked for by immigration authorities.

» Travel Permit to Papua:

To travel in Papua it is compulsory to have a so called ‘Surat Jalan’ – Travel Permit. We will arrange this at the local police office in town. Please send us the following documents at least 3 weeks before your arrival so that your Travel Permits will be ready upon your arrival to Papua:

  • 2 passport size photos
  • copy of your passport
  • copy of your visa
