Amban Beach House

Amban Beach House is Travel Papua’s guesthouse located in Manokwari, West Papua – Indonesia directly by the sea. We are located on the north coast by the Pacific Ocean in Amban, only 15 kilometers from the airport (or 25 minutes drive) and 7 Kilometre from the city center. We chose this spot because we love surfing as a hobby. From October – April, when the north pacific ground swell arrives, the waves in Amban are just perfect. Travel Papua was the first one to be built on this location during the coronavirus pandemic when all travel stood still. Now, the area has developed with more cafes, so it is perfect for you to stroll along the beach and try some of the local foods available. From June – September the ocean is calm so you can go for a swim or try stand up paddling. Amban Beach House also has a sea side cafe open to the public, where anyone can enjoy a good Papuan coffee and some local snacks.
